Often the prounication of words in African American Vernacular English and other various dialects can cause children to incorrectly spell these words. We propose to examine children from various social-economic backgrounds and schools to show how those that speak standard english are often more accurate in their spelling of certain words. The purpose of this website is to highlight the importance of proper spelling, fundamentals rules to follow when spelling, give advice for poor spellers, and to provide tools to aid poor spellers.
